I got Vista and Ubuntu in one machine. Vista crushes alot, i decided to do format C:\. If i do so, will ubuntu be formatted too?

That actually depends on the way you installed Ubuntu. If you used WUBI, then yes (Wubi install Ubuntu *inside* Windows). If you partitioned, your safe.

Below is a screenshot of the login screen when Wubi is installed within Windows and of course everything is deleted with a format. The screenshot lists Vista first but it could also say XP Professional see the other screenshot.
If you installed ubuntu on it's own partition and your boot menu is the grub bootloader then the answer is no formatting c:\ will not stop you from booting into ubuntu but if you select windows at the grub menu you will get an error since windows will no longer exist.
If you plan on deleting the windows partition then I'm not sure if it would or not.
You should know how you installed it to really get a definitive answer. You're having us guess at what you did and how you did it.
