I might be getting a new laptop in the near future and was curious if anyone is running HL2 via Cedega on a laptop and what their experiences are? Also - what hardware are you running? I suppose I should avoid ATI video for X.org unless they pull an impressive driver out of nowhere...

Not a laptop, but not an over specced desktop either...
AMD XP 3000+ 512 MB RAM (PC3200) ATI RADEON 9200SE(128MB) Abit KV7V-V Hoary Cedega 4.3.2
Gives an adequate experience on HL2 at 800x600, better if you can tolerate 640x480

i run it fine on my box, similar to your except, 1G or ram and a 5700LE (256M) nvidia.
