Hi all,

I have installed 8.10 on my laptop and my desktop. When I installed it on my laptop it gave me the option of choosing a combined power button/switch user, or keeping them separate. My desktop has not offered me that choice. How do I get the combined power/switch button?

Why waste space on your panels and add clutter with extra buttons. You can get the same results from System > Shut Down or System > Log Out from the menu.

Thats like me asking my mechanic to fix my car window that won't go up and him saying, why waste your time on windows, just roll it all the way down and leave it. You'll save money on the air conditioning. . .

I'd rather have an answer to my question. :)

OK, so I went looking on the laptop. It has fast-user-switching-app 2.24. I checked on the desktop and it has it as well. In desperation I deleted the power button that was on the desktop and then I added User Switcher from the Add to Panel menu. That's the one! I just had to juggle the icons around to fit it and it looks like it should. Problem solved!
