Realtek 8185 WL card & IBEX : poor signal strength I have airlink 101 wireless PCI card with realtek 8185 chip set.
I have this running quite well with ndiswrapper in Hardy
I recently installed IBEX, the native driver reconizes the chip but performance is poor, even though the router is right next to the computer .
Hardy shows 95% signal strength and ~2 Mbps Ibex shows 20% sigal strength and 500 Kbps
Also, In ibex the signal strength seems to fluctuate
Whats is happening. how do I fix this?
