All of a sudden my computer stopped letting me access anything that has to do with administration. This includes the network. When I tried booting into safe mode I had no idea what to do. When I try to grant myself access to anything it will not let me. The error message says that I do not have permission to view. I am at the end of my rope! Please Help! ](*,)

Have you installed anything or made any changes to your computer?
What Ubuntu are you running?
What are your system specs?
The only thing that I have installed are a few extra packages from the synaptic package manager for a few fun games and some add ons for python from synaptic package manager. Besides it just started yesterday. I hadn't added anything in a while or done anything that might cause problems. The only thing I can think of is I destroyed my ubuntu or that my ancient computer died on me. It is a coule years old. Please help!
can you open a terminal and post the results of``` cat /etc/network/interfaces
Are you saying you can't use sudo anymore, or do things as super user? Are you using the right password? How many user accounts are on the system?
