For the 64bit version of Ubuntu 8.10 the download sites show "...amd64.iso"

If I want to install the 64bit version of Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop on a system that has the "Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33Ghz, 8M L2, 1333mhz FSB, Socket 775, 4-core" processor.

What should I do? Should I use this amd64 iso or ??
