Oh dear, I've done it this time.
I'd been loving my Intrepid install, but I was interested in checking Gentoo out. So I pop in a live CD, boot it up, check it out for a bit, and then decide to see what the installer is like- with no intention of committing anything to disk.
The first page that comes up is the partition editor, and a dialog pops up asking me if I'd like to repartition with the recommended Gentoo layout. Naturally I meant to click "no", but not noticing where my cursor was I clicked "yes".
Immediately (~10 seconds) noticing my wrongdoing, I ejected the CD and did a hard shutdown, hoping that it hadn't gotten to wrecking my beautiful Ubuntu partition yet.
To my dismay upon a reboot, GRUB gave me "Error 15", and upon booting a live CD the partition editor displayed 3 partitions: one small ext3, one swap, and 30something gigs of "unknown". I'm assuming this is the data it hadn't gotten to wrecking yet...
Can I save my data somehow?
