Just a thought, but now that Songbird has officially released version 1.0, Ubuntu should put it in its repositories just like Firefox and ThunderBird.
It would be very nice to see this in Jaunty. It is a pain to have to go and find debs for it which are not updated.
Totally agree. I am looking around to see in anyone has a PPA with songbird in it. If I find one I will post it back here.

However reading the last couple of comments made seems like theres going to be some effort made.;)
In the mean time mabey Fabien Tassin could put some packages back up in his ppa if you ask him nicely enough.;)
EDIT: Its in the mozilla bzr branch has 1.0 in it

I just made the switch from 0.7 to 1.0 and I really like it.
Most of my themes/addons transitioned well.
I'd recommend downloading it and just extracting it to your home directory and if you don't like it all you need to do is delete the folder.
I remember when Songbird was first released - I though it had a good potential - I like it :)
Its built and published in the archive.
