Greetings:
Having issues setting up Audio for this PC running Ubuntu. I'm using the onboard audio device and optical SPDIF.
I've searched around (Google and Ubuntu Forum) for answers. I've tried some that don't necessary apply to my particular case (to shorten possibilities) and I've tried to find all users that have installed Ubuntu on ASUS Striker Extreme but still haven't been able to pull it off.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bump... have been searching and still no luck. I found on the disc that came with the motherboard some linuxdrivers for audio.
ADI_Audio/alsa-driver-1.0.11.tar.bz2 ADI_Audio/alsa-lib-1.0.11.tar.bz2 ADI_Audio/alsa-tools-1.0.11.tar.bz2 ADI_Audio/alsa-utils-1.0.11.tar.bz2
Is there a right order to install them?
Tried installation a few days before posting here and didn't manage anything. Any suggestions?
