Hi guys..
I have a big problem with trying to install ruby1.8.6 on my new fresh ubuntu server 8.10..
Ruby 1.8.6 will not install default with the command apt-get install ruby or aptitude install ruby-full ... It install the Version 1.8.7
and all my applications dont work with this version ... I dont really know if all the Rails Community have problems . with this version .. but i have never thought that when i erase the version 8.40 to upgrade to 8.10 .. i will find this problems....:???:
I dont know now how to install the older version or better STABLE VERSION of Ruby.. with the command apt-get or aptitude... can anybody help me ..
i tried to install ruby from source but im not an expert and dont know how to install it right.. ( the other thing is i dont really know wich version was on 8.04 that on windows i know is the ruby1.8.6-p110 but on linux... hmmm)where can i see this???
but better is when i can install it with the command ..
