FONT CHANGED how to get default one

i don't know about the default font settings for firefox 3.0 in ubuntu 8.10 and what is the default font, before it was looking good. but i donno what happened yesteday, from there on the font is nt looking as it was in previous, even it looks very small.. while it was not that small previously..

can anyone tell me which font is default for firefox 3 and d size settings etc. my screen resolution is 1280*800

if the font is too small, you can press Control+ to increase the size.

That only changes the displayed text NOT the menu bars.

I have some menu bars that are so tiny, the three boxes are less than 1/16th inch square and I've found nothing to get them bigger. And I'm only using 1024 resolution too. At 1280 they are INVISIBLE to the naked eye and mouse arrow.

I can make the panels bigger, but not the menu bars in programs!

it sounds like you need to increase your dpi.

System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> tab Fonts. dpi settings are on this tab under the Details button.

if your dpi is set to 80, try 96 or 120.

That only works to change the Window Title Font, basically the same as using the Font's control under than name in appearances.

Like in Firefox here, how do you change the line that reads: File Edit View History Bookmarks, etc.

Now, do that in WINE opened programs!

I use Eudora in Wine for my e-mail. The toolbar is slightly larger than 1/16th inch and the checkboxes are only 1/16th inch.

wow qualcomm is still making eudora? I used to use Eudora a loooong time ago before i switched to Outlook. Now of course i'm using thunderbird :) anyway its still a dpi issue that you have. instead of just adjusting the font dpi, lets try adjusting X11's dpi:

I've used Eudora since it's inception, have never found a better program yet.

WINE has settings for screen resolution and I have that set to 800x600 and have had the DPI setting higher than 192 as well, the only thing it changes is the message text.

I have NEVER found a setting anywhere that affects title bars inside of the active window. Unless it was a function of the program itself, and most programs don't allow you to change their fixed components.

the problem is not only the font size... actually the font set was "serif".. previously it looks great.. (rounded) in firefox.., even the "orkut" webpage fonts r very well rounded...

while i open orkut in other program like opera it looks as it was previously in firefox 3.

just a few days ago ... what the changed happend i don't know.. the font of webpage specially orkut is not well rounded one... each time i see.., i feel that shape is change (not well rounded).. in the firefox 3.

and in opera its still looks as it was in previous(well rounded)

i feel there is some problem with the firefox showing webpage font..
