[SOLVED] Any suggestions for an offline Calendar?

Since I don't always have Internet where I take my laptop, I'm in a little need of an offline calendar.

I prefer a GTK+-based one as opposed to a KDE-based one since I like the integrated feel of one (I'm on GNOME).

So far, I've only heard of Mozilla Sunbird, the only project from Mozilla of the three standalones I don't like (although if it's the only thing, I can rough it out...).

Sunbird (which you don't like) is basically the same as Thunderbird with the Lightning extension.

Note, however, that the version of Sunbird that is in the repositories is perpetually outdated, because it is being actively developed. So... if you don't like it because of peculiar behavior or bugs, perhaps consider installing it from source and see if it's any better.

Ja, I realized the hard way. It's an improvement, but it still feels unwieldy.

Evolution is nice though? If it is, I might look into it, even though I prefer Thunderbird as my mail client. Thanks.

I agree. When I first heard of/tried Sunbird, I thought "this is going to be awesome!". However, I was disappointed by the large amount of work that goes into doing anything useful, and the lack of flexibility for a lot of functionality that would make using the program worthwhile.

That being said, I don't have a lot of experience with calendar programs, so maybe I was overly harsh. I still haven't seen many people who think Sunbird is great, though.
