I've tried GaJim.... i'm missing somemthing. I don't see anything that allows me to install clients for other systems. I need ICQ, MSN, YAHOO, AIM and Gtalk all in one would surely be nice.

I see the new verison of Trillian is to support linux but i need it now. :)

Pidgin is the defualt IM client and supports all of those clients.

Pidgin is the way to go, you can also use Kopete.

pidgin is the default, but you may also want to check out empathy.

You should definitely try Pidgin. Its the best all-in-one client that I have used.

I agree with everyone here on Pidgin. I'm very interested to see Trillian on Linux though.

may be worth noting: Kopete has webcam support, Pidgin does not.

Many regard pidgin as having a better UI.

Thanks, I'm going to try both of the ones mentioned most often. I suspect Pidgin will be my main program but should I run into a flirty honey then I'll need to change to Kopete. I've been using Trillian since the donation days. It is still good but I've had problems with itin the last year or two. Not everything was working for me.

But those dang chat programs can keep one from getting anything done they need to do. :)

like anything else, test run kopete with webcam prior to the arrival of the flirty honeys.
