Just did a scheduled update that installed kernel 2.6.24-22 and am having strange problems with nautilus not reading certain folders in the mounted ntfs disk -- just some, not all, and I cannot figure out the pattern. Basically nautilus freezes. But when I restart and boot to 2.6.24-21 I don't have these problems.

Anyone else experience problems after the update? Any explanations?

Hi Michl

You're not alone! Caps lock light don't work and starts flashing (indicating kernel panic error) just before a crash. Network dropped out completely and nothing would get it back other than booting back to the older kernel. Programs just close at random and/or crash. Printer messed up a couple of times, never did that before ever! Firefox was doing screwing things too!

I've rolled back to the previous kernel and will wait for the next one to see if they've undone all they messed up, and hopefully they might make a stab at fixing all the hardwired LAN problems.

I'm using the older kernel as well. I'm a little concerned that an LTS kernel update is buggy. I've dealt with my share of crises updating and upgrading, but I think LTS should deliver the stability it promises.
