[EDIT] Well, what do you know, everything's fine. Suspend works, the laptop lid sleeps and wakes up, and the external monitor works now too without crashing. I discovered the Catalyst control panel.

Hi,

I'm using Kubuntu 8.10 on my macbook pro. Mostly really smooth, just two questions so far:

  1. should sleep/hibernate work? I can't get it to wake up again ...
  1. when I plug in an external monitor or projector, the "new monitor detected" window pops up but I can't activate it. Also if I change the resolution on the macbook's screen I get a hard freeze. On the other hand, if the monitor's plugged in at boot, it's ok.

everything else has been great. I just learned about the 2-finger and 3-finger tap technique for middle mouse and right mouse, which makes life so much better :)
