I installed breezy, then decided to try xubuntu gdm. I would like to run both desktops but, for now, I would like to return to (gnome) ubuntu-desktop as system default. I don't know how. I prefer to use terminal. Is there a command to do this? If not, what is the file modification required. Thank you.

Am I right to understand that you must then logout a second time and choose to make gnome your default system session? That seems to be the reason why it didn't stick last time.

I see that gnome is now the default for session, but when I reboot, I see that the xubuntu desktop, not (gnome) ubuntu is still being loaded. How do I reconfigure to load ubuntu-desktop on starup?
