Strange lockups after changing mouse

I will be running TvTime and the system will lockup kind of. The mouse in question is a Logitech cordless p/n 831192-d000. The system never locked up until I changed the mouse. What happens is that the system will be normally showing say channel 7 and when I try to change channels or move the mouse I discover that the mouse and keyboard does not work but TvTime continues to show the channel. Any suggestions would be helpful. I can attach any files from my computer if that would be helpful to find the problem.

I discovered the problem. The mouse and keyboard were plugged into a USB hub and apparently the hub was being overloaded. When I plugged the keyboard and mouse into the USB ports on the computer the lockups stopped.:)
