Hey Guys/Gals
I have a computer at home that is not being used and I would like to build a Myth HTPC out of it. These are the parts I intend to use, if you see something that would be better off as a different part please let me know. I would like to use most/all of the stuff that I already have:
Case and power supply (already have) AMD Athalon 64 +4000 skt 939 (already have) ASUS A8N Motherboard (I don't have this yet) 4Gb ram 400mhz (already have) 2x 200gb WD SATA hard drives, 7200rpm (already have) DVD drive, not a burner (already have) Floppy Drive (allready have) SB Audigy (should I use this, or the onboard sound?) ATI Radeon X1650, and Nvidia Gforce 8600GTS (I am assuming I should use the Nvidia card?) 2x Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250 (Does anyone use this card?)
I have a 61" Samsung HDTV that will be used as the monitor. I would like to be able to record one show while watching another. I would like to store media on this PC (ie: photos) and share them with the Windows PCs over my network.
Thanks for any help... :p
