I'm trying to put together a new machine and I'm looking at purchasing the ASUS P5Q SE/R motherboard. I've started seeing comments on Newegg where the Lan chipset doesn't play nicely with Ubuntu (out of the box). Is this still the case with 8.10? Will I have to do some kernel tweaking to get this particular NIC to work with Ubuntu 8.10? Thanks for any help!
