Hello, I have been making some progress in my foray into Ubuntu, but I still cannot seem to get my networking stable. What is going on is that my wireless connection on this computer connects initially, but disconnects off and on and sooner or later will not connect at all unless I reboot. Also, my wired ethernet connection will not connect at all. It used to be that I could connect eth0 and I could get whatever updates I needed while I was working on the wireless issues. I'm not sure whats going on with the onboard wired device. It doesn't seem to work in hardy, Ibex or WinXP. The wireless has its problems in Hardy as well as ibex. I have run these commands in Ibex for kernels 2.6.26-7 and 2.6.26-9. Here is some info out of 2.6.26-9:

If anyone can shead some light on a direction I can take, while I'm looking through the forum it would be great. I have been struggling with this for quite awhile. I was hoping Ibex would have taken care of the issues I have with this Atheros chipset. eth0, well that is a new mystery. By the way....what is pan0? Thats something new I haven't seen before.

Thanks fewjr

Okay, well I got eth0 to work again. I disabled wireless and now it works. I don't believe I had to do that before in 8.04, because I never had to disable one to connect to the other. I just clicked on the connection I wanted in network manager. It is also working in XP again. So I really need help with the wireless issue though. So .....bump.
