They're all the same. It's all GNU/Linux.

It's all GNU/Linux. Not necessarily. For example, Ubuntu comes with some extra restricted drivers that some other Linuxe OSes may not offer.
But in general, Ubuntu has very good hardware support, even when compared to Windows or Mac OS.

These drivers may or may not be offered but are installable on every dist.
@OP: Linux has fine hardware support, especially the big distro's are worth trying in case you have trouble getting hardware going.
