I am running Ubuntu 8.10 on a 24" iMac. I have a wired Apple Mighty Mouse, which came with the computer. It is almost useless in Ubuntu:
Item 1: The buttons are much too sensitive. In OS X I can have both fingers resting on the mouse and click with one or the other finger and get the appropriate response. In Ubuntu it seems like my secondary finger needs to be about 1/2 inch away from the mouse to avoid getting a popup menu instead of a click. Is there a way to turn the sensitivity down?
Item 2: Every time I start up Ubuntu, I have to unplug the mouse and plug it back in to get the horizontal scroll to work. This affects my graphics tablet as well. It won't work at all unless I unplug and plug after startup. I'm booting Ubuntu from it's own partition, not using Fusion or Parallels, or anything like that. Is there a fix for this?
