I know that one. And, IMHO, Gscrot is far better than Gnome's default screenshot app. I wonder why they still haven't the option to "grab a region"?
But I need some key-shortcut and I wondered if the "Print" key (that does not exist but is pre-defined under System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts !!) is assigned to some key(?). I'll use something custom.

Yea I think you just have to define a keyboard shortcut yourself. There just is no Print Screen key on Apple keyboards...
Any ideas why the "comand" key (or "apple" key) can be used *only* solo and not combined with other keys to form some smart key-shortcut?

... It can.. ? It is equivalent to the WIN key on PC keyboards and is often referred to as "Super" in Linux. There are several compiz shortcuts that use it.
