I everybody

Today i've just installed Ubuntu 8.10 64 bits and I would like to know. Is the repository for 64 bits only? Or I have to add a 64 bit repository by hand? Could someone provide me with one?

How I see if a software is 32 or 64 bits in synaptics?

Thanks!!!

Gustavo

The repositories are just that, repositories. The correct version for your x64 will be downloaded, for all programs. There aren't any separate 64-bit repositories and 32-bit repositories. However, some 3rd-party repos may be 32-bit only, you can still use them though if you manage to get the dependencies satisfied.
