I have an onboard card that uses the rtl8187 drivers. As far as I've seen the driver is supposed to be a part of the 2.6.27 kernel but on my computer the connection is very shoddy. It only shows 17% for any wireless connection and even when I connect to my network my connection doesn't actually go through. I found some linux drivers for the rtl8187 card but I have no idea how to install them. Can anyone help me out?
I need help with my wireless card.

You should check out this thread it covers the realtek rtl8187 here. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=571188 It's about 1/2 way down the page.
Actually amazingly enough my card seems to be working just fine. It still only shows 18% connection signal but my connection seems to be fine.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. There are way too many wifi issues right now to take the chance.
I'll take your advice on that one. :D
