I recently started to use mencoder to record live tv shows. Everything works fine during the encoding process. The result - avi with mpeg4 video and mp3 audio - plays fine in Totem, but when I try to play it in mplayer, I get jumpy result with freeze for aprox. 1/10 sec. every second. Any advice where I go wrong?
Also, during the playback in totem, my processor uses like 25% of the CPU, during playback in mplayer I get processor usage at 100%.
