A Rosegarden Forum please!

I'd really like to see a RG forum. Its a serious and complex application. Nubies like me have enough problems running ANY linux. Audio is another level of complexity on top. It would be great to see all the information in one place.

The other reason is focus. RG doesn't have a very high profile, and they need programmers to update it. I'd like to help but I'm .... codingly challenged! Even though its the main reason that I Installed a linux O/S I still haven't got RG to work.

short answer:- no Longer answer:- I may have a Kernal issue I may have a Ubuntu studio vertion problem I don't know what an audio path is and I can't make the default work. When I get that all sussed; I may come across a jack problem. And with every change to Ubuntu the answers may change.

The RG wiki is not a forum, it hasn't answered my questions and it shows signs of being out of date. I don't blame them. They are hard pressed to keep it running at all!

Sometimes the answers are not actually RG created. That's is why I suggest that it be here and live.

Such a request would be best presented to the Rosegarden mailing lists. Most likely a forum of that nature should be hosted on the Rosegarden website (a la ardour's forums). Only if the Rosegarden devs disagree with the need/cost/benefits ratio would the forum need a generous third party to step in and volunteer a community forum for it - and this would best be spawned from the Rosegarden mailing lists.

These forums have yet to set a precedent of creating any sub forums for specific applications, so I doubt it's here that you should be making the request. There are however, many Rosegarden users here that would be happy to help you with your problem if you describe it in a separate thread (the title of this one really wouldn't suit a troubleshooting thread).
