"Something called Ubuntu"

I gotta admit, Ubuntu is extremely good. But one thing bothers me the most. I wish that MSN messenger would work for ubuntu and when installing something, you dont have to type in codes into a "terminal". Some people thinks that this is just a nerd OS, well some of ubuntu is kinda geeky. The only disadvantages is that when installing something is so complicated and that some of the great programs doesnt work for Ubuntu.

And yes, I know about Wine.

And yes, I know about Wine. You don't have to use the terminal to install software. You just use *Add/Remove* or *Synaptic*. Here is a good guide.

Msn does work on ubuntu, there is a linux adapted version available.

If you don't like using Pidgin for IM, you can use Add/Remove (no need for Wine or Terminal commands) and install aMSN instead:

As *Therion* already pointed out, you can use *Add/Remove* (*Applications → Add/Remove*). Did you check the guide I have given you above?

Do you actually have *Ubuntu* or a derivative like *Kubuntu*, *Xubuntu* or something else?

Also try 'emesene'. It takes some time to get used to it, but it's great!

When I first used Windows, I wanted to test my new computer's speed. I decided to transcode all my MP3s to WMAs as a test.

I downloaded Windows Media Encoder, but it would not encode more than one file at a time. I ended off having to use WME's command-line interface to accomplish the task.

This doesn't mean that the only way you can batch-transcode MP3s to WMAs is via the command-line, it's just that it was the simplest and easiest way. The same goes for installing software on Ubuntu. If you can't bear to use the terminal at all, then there's Synaptic Package Manager. And if you can't bear to use the terminal at all, then you'd better hope nothing goes wrong with Windows; most of the solutions on the Microsoft Knowledgebase revolve around calling DLLs directly from the MS-DOS prompt!

System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager > search for app > Mark for installation > apply.

You could of course use that other O$ and Search for you app. > find one that is not loaded with Virii , bloat ware, spyware, etc. etc., download it > cheackagain for the aforementioned ADDONS, > install, check again for the aforementioned ADDONS, > check daily for the AFORE mentioned ADDONS in addition to the addon that are disguised as virus scanners, malware detectors, etc. then you also have the various software that guarentees to find and remove all of the above mentioned ADDONS , but will only remove them if you pay them their 30 pieces of silver.

As the title said, my guild is getting closer and closer to starting Naxx. Our first raid is planned on friday the 12th and as I'm writing up mini bossguides with links to video's and WoWwiki, the following question popped up: What wing to start in? Nothing really popped out for me. As it will be our first raid together, I'd like to avoid the pure tactics fights. But on the other hand, as we wont be that well geared, I'm not sure if going after Patchwerk first is the way to go.
