i would really like to understand why people here gripe at one-another when a member complains that he/she is still having trouble and posts that they are gonna leave ubuntu/this forum only to have someone say something like:

" why didn't you post a question " -or- " if you would've asked , someone here would have been more than glad to help you "

if you think i'm crazy just go searching around through the testimonials section...

There, posted for ya. Patience is a virtue

if i do that , does that mean that my FF will start from a fresh state ??? and that i will be losing all of my extentions and skins i have installed...? Did you do it or not? You didn't explain whether you followed those instructions, instead bumping your thread with:

so no-one else has any ideas or answers to my last question....?

BUMP

still having trouble...

People would be more inclined to help if you were more forthcoming. *For instance*, making it clear whether you followed previous instructions would help people narrow down the cause of your problem.

I think it's kind of sad that people flock to help only after you post a complaint about it.

I'm genuinely sorry that you haven't been helped, but we're all volunteers who choose to spend free time here. You've already gotten far more than you paid for.

By the way, most of those comments in Testimonials are aimed at members with 0-10 post counts, who clearly haven't asked many questions.

I don't know, maybe there's people here who are being cut a paycheck to spend all day answering questions. If so, please e-mail me about that, I've got a resume ready.

But for the rest of us, we spend our free time here for fun to help other Ubuntu users. Approaching the forums with a negative attitude and impatience is probably NOT going to motivate me into putting my time solving your problem.

well if you would read a little more carefully =====> > if i do that , does that mean that my FF will start from a fresh state ??? and that i will be losing all of my extentions and skins i have installed...?

you would see that i have asked a question there needing to be answered BEFORE i proceed... understand..?

First off, typing your post in proper English grammar will make it more readable. Secondly, in the linked reference http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks_history_and_toolbar_buttons_not_working_-_Firefox, you can find information under the link 'Creating a new profile': http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager that explains exactly what a profile is. Yes, removing a profile will cause you to lose your extensions. Then again, your extensions could be causing your glitches to begin with.

One can't expect to both be spoon-fed information and be impatient.

spoon fed my butt..! and yes , maybe i am a little impatient - but when i have very little time to myself other than working i Can be a little impatient...

Yes, you are fully entitled to your right to be impatient, but I am also fully entitled to the right to go do my homework right now.

It matters more than you think. My brain seems to associate lack of well-formed grammar and/or spelling with lack of intelligence (no offense to you)

Also, you can't really complain about free support. There are always other forums to try for support, if you aren't satisfied with this one. Patience is a virtue, I've seen threads answered weeks later then when posted.

@jason.b.c. Shh, no name calling.

Do you not see the ubuntu forum admin thing above his Avvy? In any case, is it necessary to be so rude?? I understand frustration and impatience, but show some respect! By insulting other people, your just going to loose their help and be even more skrewed than before!
