Ok let see I was using xp that is going to it end of life. so... my options are Vista ultimate-$300 online<windows7=vista redone> ...needs office $150 online<student>. like to back up my DVD's...fabDVD $50 need to burn them backups nero $100. and this is the world of windows need really good antivirus NOD32 $60 a year. yes there are freeware of AV and burners. but my point is..why pay for what you can have for free. a bird the the hand is worth two in the bush! linux is NOT windows. but the information you need to get your puter up is right here! do your homework, just READ! and again how can I stress this... JUST READ! I have had issues sure. sovled 'em here and ty for all the great info from all you great people! at my end of this rant....ubuntu...priceless!
