Different Wallpaper for Each Desktop

Has anyone managed to have a different wallpaper for each desktop without losing the desktop icons on Intrepid?

I've tried the procedure here: http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/showthread.php?t=6199 but nautilus would not compile due to unmet dependency (libgnome-menu) although it is installed.

I've tried wallpapoz but it wasn't what i had in mind.

I haven't but as the tutorial said, I'll lose my desktop icons.

but hey, who needs desktop icons when you have teh panels? :biggrin: they are a hindrance to desktop zen anyway. :lolflag:
