I've tried a lot, but it seems I still can't find out how to let my mythbuntu 8.04.1 list the content of a new media upon insertion. I've tried the "watch new media" option (or similar), but nothing really happens, besides that when the mythbox starts it shows me a message such as "/dev/sdb not found, using gallery" and then leaves me at the "image gallery". sdb is the card reader (empty).
My point is not much the "sdb not found", but I'd like to watch the videos or listen to the music I have saved on a CD/DVD/... without leaving myth frontend. When I insert the CD/DVD/USB/whatever, I'd like mythtv to bring me to the appropriate browsing list (images, music, video) so that I can -say- watch that video immediately, through mythtv.
In case the media has different files or folders, it should give me a browsing capability, so that I can browse to the file I want, select it and it will start play (video, image, music....).
I've seen this behavior (automatic, btw) in knoppmyth, so I know it can be done. I just don't know how....
