Hi,
I own a CD(s) copy of the windoze UT2K4 distribution, can I install this on Ubuntu?
Are there 2 installers (win & Linux) included on the disks (somewhere)?
Or do I have to source a linux version of this game?
Thanks for your time :-)

I've installed UT2k4 on ubuntu using the Editors choice dvd edition there is a linux installer on the dvd its a ".sh" file you maybe have to copy the file to your desktop to run it ( I had that problem) but the installer works great just follow the instalation steps and enjoy the gaming don't forget to install your grafic drivers first otherwise it won't work
Definitely copy the linux-installer.sh to your desktop and run it from there.
Many thanks guys!
I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy another copy of this magnificent game :)
Cheers

I think Ryan (Icculus) Gordan released a new patch for UT2004K last night. Might want to grab it to be up to date.
That patch was already released last week. Installing it is generally a good idea, if you plan to play online.
There is also a Loki-installer available for that patch: http://liflg.org/?catid=6&gameid=17 But unzipping and copy the files without that installer isn't that hard either...
