I'm using 8.10, amd_64.

KMail in KDE 4.xx is not working properly. I need an e-mail program that will do the job and Thunderbird 2.0.0.18, looks like a good replacement.

However, when I click on a URL in an e-mail nothing happens. If I right click I get a few options, but none of them work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Thank you very much! :)

You've been to system > preferences > preferred applications, clicked on the internet tab and chosen your web browser & 'Open link with web browser default'?

I had a similar problem & selecting Firefox (in my case) did the job -

[Sorry - just noticed this is Kubuntu, rather than Ubuntu - is there is similar menu selection in Kde?]

Yes, there is, and I set it long ago. That is not the problem, but thanks for the reply.
