I Like 8.10

So Far I have not had any problems on my newer machine ( three years old) I have a couple of slightly older more stock machines that it wont seem to run on, but I still have 8.04 for those two.

The one thing I really like about 8.10 is that my Logitech Mx700 Mouse worked right out of the box. I don't have to go to the terminal and reset the mouse so the back and forward buttons work.

Kinda confused why it doesn't keep the hard drives mounted on the desktop? so for right now I have to remount them ( just go to places and single click on them) every time I restart the machine.

Over all on the one machine 8.10 runs on. it seems to run ok. Sabar

you will have to edit fstab to get them to automount.

I am very impressed, it has worked without any issues thus far.

The only thing I didnt like was installing java was quite difficult untill I looked in synaptic xD.

Im glad you like it, personally, I think it beats the heck outa vista!

thanks to nvidia the drivers shipped with 8.10 dont work, but on the fourms i found how to upgrade my drivers manaually and now 8.10 is running fine, the sooner nvidia release source code to their drivers the better

On the flip side I now have ATI components that "just work".
