Hi there I had ubuntu 8.04 ultimate edition and upgrade to 8.10 but after I had install it (upgrade) and restart my pc then it freeze and I have try install it with live cd amd still nothing so I haft to reinstall 8.04 from cd and it is back to normal, I tried this twice and in both time my pc wont work.
What is wrong w/ ubuntu 8.10?

What is wrong w/ your hardware? We'll only be able to help you once you tell us your system specifications and elaborate one the errors you get (can you load the Live CD?, when does it freeze?, already tried different kernel parameters?)
Also, you know that Ultimate Edition is a distribution based on Ubuntu but not Ubuntu itself, right?

Hi Here is my list I post it before, it is new computer with ATi graphic card I can Install ubuntu UE 1.9 but if I upgrade or install from live cd ubuntu UE 2.0 or ubuntu UE Game edition then nothing but look on this post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6284162#post6284162
Why you should ask for help at the Ultimate Edition forums, as I said, it's a different distribution with its own repositories, thus what applies to Ubuntu may not apply to Ultimate Edition.
I did some research and there's a note in the download page of Ultimate Edition 2.0 stating that the repositories haven't been updated and that many things, upgrading included, don't work yet. http://ultimateedition.info/ultimate-edition-20/
I also would like to apologize I have not at current time had the opportunity to update the repository; I am under a constant workload, I will address this issue when I have the time. If you do not like errors for example, an upgrade that will not install from our repo please remove our repo from your list until I have time to address this issue. This is the best I can advise at current time.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend you using such a project. Operating systems should not be reinstalled every now and then. Use Ubuntu and you'll have a better experience.
The usual way to upgrade is to remove all repositories that you have added since the origional installation, then make sure everything is up to date then do the upgrade. Extra repositories allow some programs to upgrade that may not work with the version you are upgrading to.
