I know this has been asked before, but I havnt seen much that was like my problems.

I am in ubuntu 8.10 (I dont know if that matters or not) 64bit 4GB of DDR2 ram ATI radeon x1300

So I start up steam, and it will go to the logo, and play through the game, until I try to get on a server.. it stops as soon as it loads up to right before the start up screen (on TF2)

Any help?

Oh, and when I have steam open it says on every virtual desktop im on... fixing that would be nice too :)

(P.s. there was another thread that was made called steam, and it made itself wile I was making this one.. if someone could delete the other one that would be swell!)
