Hey everyone, I was helping a man my mom works for install Ubuntu 8.10 on a lot of computers from 2003-2004, installation woes, I could go on and on... But tha's not the point. I got one with a Pentium 4 hyper-threading processor at 3.0 GHz, and the onboard video is not enough for playing games under Wine! So, I was wondering if there are any video cards out there that can run with a 180 Watt power supply. Preferably with at least 64 MB of memory, PCI, and is an NVIDIA card. Everyone here should know of the countless posts of ATI woes:lolflag:. I couldn't find anything... Anyways, any help is appreciated!
Low power video card?

Here is a place to start... Newegg PCI video cards http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048%201069609642&name=PCI
Now I do not think these will play the latest and greatest but... I bet some would even play some online MMOs
the nVidia 5500 FX is what I have in my desktop. Its got 256 MB video memory and doesn't eat all that much power. I looked into getting a stronger card but that's when I run into power supply issues. So, I'd look into a 5000 FX series nVidia card if I were you. probably get them pretty damn cheap these days.
Isn't a 180watts PSU to low for a desktop pc right now?
Well, I found that the 7600GS only uses something around 33? watts of power, but I can only find it for PCI-E... I will look into that low-profile card you pointed out, Alvinius, again.
Thanks guys.
