Hi. Frostwire works perfectly for me on a direct internet connection. My laptop is connected to the internet via the main server via LAN using a proxy connection. Frostwire is unable to detect an internet connection when I try to connect through the LAN behind a proxy. My laptop is acer aspire amd64 and I have the latest version of frostwire and java. Same is the case with limewire.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

If you temporarily disable the proxy server can you connect to the internet?

no. it does not connect. let me explain the connectivity; the main server is the only machine that has direct internet connection. all other machines connect to the internet via this machine via a proxy server. if the proxy server is disabled even basic browsing is not possible. frostwire works fine on the server and also if i connect my laptop to the internet directly. the issue is that i necessarily need to connect to the server for my internet access. the error i get is 'firestarter could not detect an internet connection. please check your firewall settings and try to restart frostwire'

thanks
