Hi, i have an old acer travelmate 240 laptop, with an external US Robotics WiFi card (i think 5410), I connect to the internet with it ,from my institution , the connections are unsecure and no wep or wpa what so ever. while using hoary, the wifi networks were detected fine, and things went on...but now with the breezy edition, i find that my card is detected (shows up on network-settings), but no network is detected.

the WiFi adapter works fine in windows xp...

could some one please help me........!!!

Try GtkWifi, which has a subforum here that you can find in the 3rd party projects section. If your wifi device is configured properly and supports scanning, it will show you a list of networks that you can connect to.
