Hi I have been tring to setup virtual box to run on kubuntu 8.10 with vista already installed. I found a post that said I had to make a grub boot disk but my disk did not boot and there was to much information left out for me to figure it out. Can some one give me a detailed way to do this. I would try to install windows inside virtual box but I dont have the vista disk because it didnt come with my hp laptop. dv6000,amd duo core, one meg of ram. I am grateful for any and all help I can get many thanks to everyone in advance, everything elese in kubutu is great thanks to the help of great people on here. If I did not have to have a few programs that only run in window I would do completely away with vista.):P):

If I understand correctly:

  1. You want to install Kubuntu alongside Windows?
  2. You want to install VirtualBox in Kubuntu?

Well, I have a few tutorials that might help you with this. Check the website in my signature, namely the kubuntu tutorial, dual boot tutorial and grub tutorial.

Hi, thanks for repling to my message. I am tring to make vista run in virtualbox on kubuntu. I already have vista and kubuntu dual booting and everything is working great for the first time even video playback and dvd burning of my own dvds for backup purposes. But I have to have about three programs that only run in windows, I have tried wine with no luck also. If anyone can give advice I would appreciate it.
