just dual boot.... after 3 days of trying I had to abandon the Dell 8.04 as it does NOT install, rather formats and copies to the HDD. XP does not share well with another primary active partition. The standard dual boot install; XP first, and [non dell] Ubuntu with grub second worked flawlessly.
[old] running dell 8.04 but also as default vanilla 8.10 now I am adding xpsp2 only because I need quickbooks to drill down at meetings rather than the expanded P&L as a .pdf! there is always some question not covered if I just take reports.
I know this will botch the mbr but I have the supper grub disk ready.
I do wish intuit ported to linux!!!!!
