Multiple questions from a beginner; please be patient.

I've tried building a system using a 2.6Ghz AMD with 1G ram & e-GeForce 6200 video card. I could never get jitter-free video; might have been the MB as it died after a few weeks.

My goals (hopes) for a new system:

Combination frontend/backend on 1st computer: Record/play HD from both off-air tuner and either Directv (currently subscribed to Std Def) or Dish (USA location; no access to cable) Onboard video/audio with minimum 1080i resolution Some way to get HDTV from a Directv receiver into the Myth system.

I'm looking at a Gigabyte MB with ATI Radeon HD 3200 video onboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128360&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL120908&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL120908-_-Motherboards-_-L9A-_-13128360 with AMD x2 4850e (2.5Ghz) processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103255 with minimum 1gig of ram I saw in the hardware requirements that ATI 'will work', and 'avoid anything ATI' for video.

Will this MB/processor/video out be up to the task?

Can anyone recommend a product or explain a technique that will get HD from a satellite receiver into the Mythtv computer?

Thanks,

Charlie
