Hello,
I am trying to pitch edubuntu to our school board. This is a small school (150 students from K4-12) and I am our computer guy (at least one of my many hats). I use ubuntu on a daily basis and have since Dapper. I know the advantages and disadvantages of linux use. In our situation the advantages heavily outweigh the disadvantages. However, convincing the administration and board to switch our students over to a "second class operating system when they need to learn windows for later in life" is a challenge.
I believe the best way would be to do a trial run with edubuntu using the ltsp capabilities. The only problem is we are limited on hardware and space (no extra room to set this up in and our "lab" is rather cramped as it is). We would probably have to use our existing hardware which would be a bit of a problem since it is in use.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this could be done?
