Tux Guitar seems to pick and choose when it will work or not and I can't find any pattern to its behaviour. Sometimes it will play the tabs fine (as in, I can hear sound) and other times (more frequently) it will say that the MIDI system is unavailable. The MIDI sequencer is the Real Time one, and the port is the Java Sound Synthesizer. I've tried all combinations and this is the only one that occasionally gives me sound. What's going on and how do I fix this rather annoying problem? If it helps, I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 x64. Thanks.
