I've been using using Ubuntu for about three weeks, and it is my first experience with Linux. I'm only moderately computer-savvy; I'm a networking major at MSCTC but before I started the program I knew little more than how to surf the net and use my favorite application software. I have ALWAYS hated Windows but didn't really know much about the alternatives that were available. After a scant three weeks with Ubuntu I'm going to wipe my hard drive next week (bye-bye Vista!!!) and install Hardy using the whole drive with XP Pro running in virtualbox.

Three weeks. No more Windows except for occasional school applications. And I'm nobody's idea of a computer guru. A lot of it comes down to the extraordinarily helpful and patient members of this forum. Without the advice and the links I'd never have gotten this far this fast. Thanks so much. This is the without a doubt the most awesome online community I have yet to come across. Hopefully once I've acquired the knowledge I can help provide beginners with the same level of assistance the rest of you have given me. You guys rock! :guitar:

And that is the attitude that will help Ubuntu continue to grow. Praise, encouragement, and even offering of yourself, freely, for the benefit of others.

Makes this community great.

Oh yeah....

+1.
