On my Dell Mini 9, running on the Dell Ubuntu 8.04 version, I flashed the BIOS to rev. A02 by booting from a USB stick with Windows PE.

First everything appeared to be working fine with the new BIOS, but now I found out, that the mini's webcam is not available any more.

Did anyone have the same problem? How can I get the camera working again?

Isn't ther anyone out there, who can help me with this? I did the BIOS update, basically like described somwhere in this thread:

Did I miss to set any options in the update tool so the built-in webcam is no longer recognized?

I experienced the same problem after I installed BIOS A04 and system update. To isolate the problem I went back to the A00 BIOS with no success. I then booted a USB thumb drive with Ubuntu 8.10 and the webcam worked fine. I guess we'll have to wait for the next update to Dell's Ubuntu for the fix.
