fglrx and nvidia together?

Hey is it possible to install the 3d drivers for an Nvidia and Ati cards side by side, everytime i try one deselects or screws the other, Just to let you know i have 2 graphics cards in my setup primary is an Nvidia which runs its proper 3d drivers while the Ati secondary is on 2d...

Any thoughts?

The short answer is 'no'; the way they implement direct rendering is fundamentally incompatible with the idea of having multiple 3D-accelerated cards on the one system, unless they're from the same vendor.
