Just lately, I have noticed quite a long delay when I try to play a show I have previously recorded with Myth. Sometimes it takes 5 to 10 seconds, just showing a black screen, before the recording starts playing. Occasionally, it just sits at the black screen then returns to the list of shows - and when it does this, if I try to play the same show again, it usually starts quickly.

Mine does the same - but I made it do it because of the way i have it configured. I have an OS drive and 3 drives in a raid5 array for recordings & such. I have the 3 drives set to spin down with no activity. Saves on heat and hopefully extends the life of the drives. If they've been powered down and I start a recording, it takes a few seconds for everything to come online - I can hear them spinning up.

if the drives are already spinning, there is no lag time.

Well my system has been stable for months and just started doing it. The only thing that has happened is that the disks (just 2 SATA disks, not raid or anything, just 2 entries in a myth storage group) have filled up, and Myth has started removing old unwatched programs.

I was wondering if the file system, or the mysql database might need some maintenance/cleanup?
