Ubuntu 8:10 - WOW!

Wow what a fantastic OS. Done a splendid job here :)

Out of the box support on everything. It's installed on a Compaq Presario C300. Everything works...

Touchpad, Sound etc

Even the Intel3945 Wireless works out of the box, the switch works too so I can turn it on or off. (Connected to my WPA2 wireless straight after entering my password)

Have to say I can see that so much effort has been put into creating Ubuntu.

I've used Mac OS X, Vista, XP, 98SE and Ubuntu just seems so good and so simple.

I'm so sure I'm going to stick to it, I've got rid of the Restore Partition completely and installed Ubuntu as the sole OS.

(Can always switch back using the recovery DVD's but I really don't think I will be)

Some of you may recognize me, I did post a while ago on here, but I've been using Ubuntu on and off. But now, with 8:10 - I truly think I may be sticking to it :)

+1 to that. One of the nicest things about Ubuntu doesn't come installed on the system. It exists right here on these forums. :)
